I'll love you forever,
I'll like you for always,
as long as I'm living,
my baby you'll be.

Off to the doctor's office we go.
Our first doctor's appointment was about a week later on July 3rd, 2012. I was so nervous but excited to go to the doctor and make sure everything was okay. Hubby was over the moon excited and just kept smiling on the drive.
That first appointment is like information overload!!! They go over medical history, testing options throughout the pregnancy, hospitals the doctor delivers at, what is safe and what is not, the importane of Pre-Natal Vitamins and so much more. It felt like I needed a recorder to keep up with everything. After some additional information, bloodwork, and all that jazz. I was given an awesome goody bag for first time mommas. It had books, magazines, info on the hospital and birthing center, pre-natal classes, coupons, plus all the information we went over. It even broke down our payments to the doctor and when we had to pay it all. I blanked out half the information I was given earlier from feeling overwhelmed so this was really helpful!
I let the nurse know I have been so sick, nauseous and tired. I was given the option of our first sonogram. I did not really have a heavy period in May and they wanted to rule out being further along then I thought I was. Of course we said yes! My husband about died when they put a condom on the wand and inserted it into my vagina! I think I almost did as well. Luckily the tech distracted him and told him to look at the screen. There we got to see our little peanut and got the due date of 2/18/2013. We were told I was 7 weeks and 1 day.
